Regular Season Round 20: Jonava - Prienai 74-85

Bottom-ranked Prienai managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Jonava 85-74. They outrebounded Jonava 31-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Tauras Jogela (202-1993, agency: 011 Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-1992, college: TCU) chipped in 19 points. Prienai's coach Marius Kiltinavicius used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Glynn Watson Jr (185-1997, college: Nebraska) produced 23 points and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Latvian Martins Laksa (200-1990) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Prienai and five Jonava players scored in double figures. Prienai maintains twelfth position with 2-18 record. Loser Jonava keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Prienai will meet at home higher ranked Wolves (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jonava will play against P.Zvaigzdes and hope to secure a win.
