Regular Season Round 25: Rouen - Kaysersberg 101-68

Everything went according to plan when first ranked SPO Rouen (20-5) outplayed at home 13th ranked Kaysersberg (5-20) 101-68 on Tuesday. SPO Rouen dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kaysersberg's 28. They outrebounded Kaysersberg 40-15 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. SPO Rouen looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Moroccan forward Karim Gourari (203-1989) nailed 16 points and 4 assists for the winning side and American-Jamaican Andell Cumberbatch (195-1993, college: St.Bonaventure) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. SPO Rouen's coach Sylvain Delorme felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Aaron Anderson (178-1991, college: N.Dakota) came up with 17 points and 6 assists and point guard Gregory Bengaber (186-1997) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for Kaysersberg in the defeat. SPO Rouen maintains first place with 20-5 record. Loser Kaysersberg keeps the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Hyeres-Toulon. SPO Rouen will meet Hyeres-Toulon (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Kaysersberg will play against STB Le Havre and hope to secure a win.
