Regular Season Round 15: SISU - Falcon 67-81
Date: February 26, 2023
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Copenhagen: Falcon (#1) and SISU (#5). SISU was defeated at home 67-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Falcon forced 24 SISU turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Taylor Gleason (173-1995, college: Oakland) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points. International guard Elisabeth Brynaa (176-1993) helped adding 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Gleason is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Falcon players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Josefine Haabegaard (180-1999) with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Helene Dalsgaard (186-1999) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Falcon have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. SISU lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Falcon will play against league's second-placed Herlev on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SISU will play against Aabyhoj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
