There was no surprise in Warszawa where 18th ranked Start 2 (1-29) was crushed by eighth ranked Polonia (16-13) 100-64 on Sunday. Polonia dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Start 2's 46. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Start 2's players. Power forward Adam Linowski (199-1987) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Marcin Dutkiewicz (197-1986) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Norbert Ziolko (189-1999) with 21 points and power forward Milosz Ziolkowski (202-2003) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Start 2's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Polonia maintains eighth position with 16-13 record. Start 2 lost twenty second consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games. Polonia will meet league's leader Gornik in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Start 2 will play against Turow (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
