Regular Season Round 23: Daugavpils - LCC Tarp. 60-90

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Latvian Daugavpils Universitate (4-15) was outplayed at home by eighth ranked Lithuanian LCC Tarp. (10-9) 90-60 on Saturday. LCC Tarp. forced 19 Daugavpils Universitate turnovers and outrebounded them 41-18 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. LCC Tarp. shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a great evening for point guard Laurita Jurciute (178-1998) who led her team to a victory scoring 40 points (!!!). Brazilian Maiara Pereira (185-2002, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 10 points and 13 rebounds. Ukrainian power forward Viktoriya Babych (183-1999, agency: BIG) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Latvian guard Snezana Gleba (169-2004) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LCC Tarp. moved-up to seventh place. Loser Daugavpils Universitate keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost.
