Regular Season Round 25: Lich Basketball - Saarlouis 80-85

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Saarlouis (22-4) won against on the road 6th ranked Licher Basket (13-11) 85-80 on Saturday. American guard Ricky Easterling (189-1983, college: Bridgewater) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import center Jordan Camper (203, college: Lincoln, PA) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Yannik Ribbecke (197-1997) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Saarlouis. They maintain first place with 22-4 record. Newly promoted Licher Basket dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Wulfen. Saarlouis will meet at home Kronberg (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Licher Basket will play against Ulm BBU 01 (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
