Regular Season Round 23: Agora Portals - Mataro UE 58-79

Everything went according to plan in Calvia where first ranked Mataro UE (19-3) outleveled 14th ranked Agora Portals (1-21) 79-58 on Saturday. It was a great evening for power forward Gerbert Marti (204-1991) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jordi Juanola (196-1998) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. Mataro UE's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Michael Ogunsuyi (200-2006) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and Moustapha Diallo produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Mataro UE have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-3 record, which they share with Lliria and Vic. Agora Portals lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. They share it with Covadonga and Jorge Juan. Mataro UE will meet at home Alfinden (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Agora Portals will play against Castelldefels (#8) and hope to win that game.
