We should mention about the upset which took place in Lugo, where higher ranked Estudiantes (12-14) lost to thirteenth ranked Ensino (11-15) in a road game 55-67 on Saturday. Guard Alba Prieto (180-1999, college: S.Florida) stepped up and scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and the former international forward Paula Ginzo (187-1998) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Nadia Fingall (191-1998, college: Stanford) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Laura Mendez (174-2001) scored 7 points and 8 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ensino moved-up to tenth place, which they share with IDK Eustotren and Bembibre. Loser Estudiantes keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Araski. Ensino will meet Jairis (#14) in the next round. Estudiantes will play against the league's second-placed Avenida (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
