Regular Season Round 27: Estepona - Celta Zorka 76-74

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Estepona (12-15) edged at home 4th placed Celta Zorka (17-7) 76-74 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. American point guard Tiffany Brown (168-1986, college: Georgia South) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. Four Estepona players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian center Murjanatu Musa (187-2000) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Doniyah Cliney (182-1996, college: S.Carolina) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Estepona maintains tenth place with 12-15 record. Celta Zorka at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Estepona will meet bottom-ranked Cordoba (#16) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Celta Zorka will play against Azkoitia (#13) and hope to secure a win.
