No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked ASA Jerusalem (2-1) crushed at home bottom-ranked Hertzliya (0-3) 93-74 on Monday. ASA Jerusalem forced 19 Hertzliya turnovers and outrebounded them 48-35 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. ASA Jerusalem looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American guard Taylor Wurtz (183-1990, college: Wisconsin) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) supported her with 26 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks. ASA Jerusalem's coach Ohad Gal used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 18 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals by Nigerian-American guard Promise Amukamara (173-1993, college: Arizona St.) did not help to save the game for Hertzliya. American center Briana Day (193-1995, college: Syracuse) added 18 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ASA Jerusalem moved-up to seventh place, which they share with E.Holon and H.Petah Tikva. Loser Hertzliya still closes the standings with three games lost. ASA Jerusalem will meet H.Petah Tikva (#9) on the road in the next round. Hertzliya will play against E.Holon and hopes to get finally their first victory.
