Regular Season Round 28: Celta Zorka - Adareva 70-71

A very close game took place in Vigo between Adareva and Celta Zorka. Twelfth ranked Adareva (10-16) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Celta Zorka (18-8). Adareva managed to escape with a 1-point win 71-70 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Worth to mention a great performance of Maria Luque (-2003) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds and Chilean point guard Sendy Basaez (173-1996) who added 21 points (made all of her seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side Nigerian center Murjanatu Musa (187-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Anne Senosiain (162-1997) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Celta Zorka's coach Cristina Cantero let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Adareva moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Celta Zorka keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Adareva will meet at home bottom-ranked Cordoba (#16) in the next round where they are favorite. Celta Zorka will play against Real Canoe (#10) and hope to secure a win.
