There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Loewen (12-11) lost to seventh ranked Speyer (11-11) in Erfurt 89-93 on Sunday. The winners were led by Croatian-Canadian guard Jake Babic (196-1995, college: TAMUCC) who scored that evening 21 points and 6 assists and American DJ Woodmore (190-1992, college: VWU) supported him with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists by Ivorian-French Guy Landry Edi (198-1988, college: Gonzaga) did not help to save the game for Loewen. American Tyseem Lyles (185-1992, college: Mercy) added 21 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
