No shocking result in a game when third ranked BIPA O. (21-8) crushed 6th ranked Hoverla (9-21) in Odessa 69-48 on Thursday. The game without a history. BIPA O. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hoverla to just 7 points in second quarter. BIPA O. forced 19 Hoverla turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Hoverla's players. The winners were led by the former international forward Andriy Agafonov (208-1986) who scored that evening 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Vladislav Ungurian (190-1995) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four BIPA O. players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by guard Sergey Avrakhov (187-2001) did not help to save the game for Hoverla. Center Stepan Lesyk (205-2002) added 6 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BIPA O. have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted BIPA O. maintains third position with 21-8 record having seven points less than leader Budivelnyk, which they share with Kyiv Basket. Hoverla lost third consecutive game. Hoverla at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth place with 21 games lost.
