Rather expected game in Kastela Sucurac where 5th ranked Zagreb (13-16) was crushed by third ranked Kastela (22-8) 91-68 on Wednesday. Kastela dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Zagreb's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Antonio Klepo (186-2004) who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Center Petar Markota (201-2003) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Kristijan Joksimovic (198-1995, college: Bethany, KS) produced 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Karlo Lukacic (192-2001, agency: BIG) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kastela maintains third position with 22-8 record having five points less than leader Jazine. Zagreb lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. Kastela will meet at home league's second-placed Osijek in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zagreb will play against Omis-Cagalj T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
