Valencia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Lauren Cox (193-1998, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Leticia Romero (173-1995, college: FSU) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Helena Oma (180-1996) responded with 15 points and the former international guard Mariona Ortiz (183-1992) scored 5 points and 6 rebounds.
