Finals Game 2: Schio - Bologna 84-79

Schio clinched the 12th Serie A1 title. They topped Bologna in the second game of the Finals to complete the sweep. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bologna won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Schio made 7 blocks. American point guard Marina Mabrey (180, college: Notre Dame) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists. The other American import Rhyne Howard (188, college: Kentucky) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Schio's coach Georgios Dikaioulakos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-1997) replied with 18 points and 9 assists and French center Iliana Rupert (194-2001) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Bologna. Five Bologna players scored in double figures.
