Regular Season Round 1: Wolomin - Lublin 2 80-67

Wolomin used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Lublin 80-67 on Thursday night. Wolomin looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Krzysztof Szemieta (195-1994) stepped up and scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and center Piotr Wojcik (195-1987) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. Wolomin's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Alan Duda (186-2004) responded with 17 points and 5 assists and guard Marcel Skiba (188-2006) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wolomin will meet Ksiezak in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lublin 2 will play against Energa W-wa in Warszawa and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the 1Liga just one year after relegation.
