Regular Season Round 4: Copenhagen - Randers 104-95

Higher ranked Randers (1-1) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 104-95 loss to tenth ranked Copenhagen (0-3) in Copenhagen on Friday evening. Copenhagen outrebounded Randers 53-30 including a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Mathias Christensen (204-1995) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American power forward Durell Vinson (199, college: Wagner) who added 20 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Steven Green (196-1993, college: OKBU) responded with 24 points (made all of his seven free throws) and his fellow American import guard Josh Fortune (196-1994, college: Colorado) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Copenhagen maintains tenth position with 0-3 record, which they share with Amager. Loser Randers dropped to the sixth place with one game lost. They share the position with Herlev. Copenhagen will meet higher ranked Naestved (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Randers will play against the league's second-placed Bakken having rather not much hope for a victory.
