Regular Season Round 2: Karhubasket - Nokia 67-80

Not a big story in a game when Karhubasket lost to Nokia in Kauhajoki 67-80 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Nokia. Karhubasket managed to win fourth quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Tucker Richardson (196, college: Colgate) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Both Gach (201-1999, college: Utah) supported him with 21 points. Four Nokia players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 5 assists by American guard Tahj Eaddy (188-1996, college: USC) did not help to save the game for Karhubasket. The former international Topias Palmi (195-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) added 14 points for the hosts. Karhubasket's coach Janne Koskimies tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nokia will meet Korihait in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Karhubasket will play against Vilpas in Salo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
