Regular Season Round 3: BLMA - Charnay 83-73

BLMA used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Charnay-les-Macon 83-73 on Saturday night. BLMA looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Charnay's players. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Marieme Badiane (190-1994) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four BLMA players scored in double figures. American forward Shakayla Thomas (180-1996, college: FSU) came up with 26 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Kayana Traylor (175-1999, college: Virginia Tech) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Charnay in the defeat. BLMA will meet Hainaut (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Charnay will play against Bourges (#4) and hope to win that game.
