The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Ferrol at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Gernika 64-63. Gernika outrebounded Ferrol 41-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was French power forward Marie-Michelle Milapie (192-1996) who scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Angie Bjorklund (183-1989, college: Tennessee) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds.
