Regular Season Round 2: Vytis - Kretinga 84-90

But Vytis was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kretinga 90-84 on Saturday night. Kretinga shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Center Rytis Zabita (199-1994) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) supported him with 21 points and 6 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by Eimantas Zilius (201-1999) did not help to save the game for Vytis. Point guard Deividas Kumelis (188-1995) added 18 points for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kretinga will meet at home Palanga in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vytis will play against Telsiai and hope to win that game.
