Regular Season Round 3: Taranto - Faenza 66-76

There was a minor upset when Taranto (1-2) was defeated at home by Faenza (1-2) 76-66 on Thursday. Faenza outrebounded Taranto 44-28 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Simone Aromando (200-1997, agency: SLN) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Francesco Papa (198-1995, agency: Players Group) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Elhadji Thioune (209-2001, agency: SLN) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Francesco Reggiani (195-2002, agency: SLN) scored 15 points. Faenza will meet at home Vicenza (#8) in the next round. Taranto will play against Fabriano and hope to win that game.
