Regular Season Round 2: PAEEK - Keravnos 67-80

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Nicosia: Keravnos and PAEEK. PAEEK was defeated at home 67-80 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It looked good early as PAEEK took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Keravnos had a 25-19 second period charge getting the lead and PAEEK was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-80. American players dominated also this game. Point guard Shavar Reynolds Jr (188-1998, college: Monmouth, agency: Haylett Sports) scored 24 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Travis Taylor (203-1990, college: Xavier, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Forward Tristan Ikpe (198-1999, college: SHSU) responded with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard EJ Day (178-2000, college: Lasell) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Keravnos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. PAEEK will play on the road against APOP in Paphou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
