Regular Season Round 2: Iraklis - Papagou 75-67

There was a minor upset in Thessaloniki where Papagou was defeated by Iraklis 75-67 on Saturday. Point guard Sarandis Mastrogiannopoulos (194-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Justin Baker (203-1989, college: Utah Valley) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Baker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Serbian power forward Nikola Siladji (208-1992) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Panagiotis Kois (200-1998) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Iraklis will meet Megaridas in the next round. Papagou will play against Esperos L. and hope to win that game.
