A very close game took place in Izmir between Pinar Karsiyaka and Besiktas. Pinar Karsiyaka (2-1) got a very close home victory over Besiktas (1-1). Pinar Karsiyaka managed to escape with a 3-point win 80-77 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Huseyin Sevig (201-2005) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Demir Etkesen (-2005) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Ahmet Ozbek (-2005) came up with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Yagiz Aksu (195-2006) added 25 points respectively for Besiktas in the defeat. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Pinar Karsiyaka will meet Buyukcekmece (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Besiktas will play against Ege Asist (#12) and hope to win that game.
