PAEEK can celebrate their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat E.N. Paralimni (0-4) 86-79 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 50-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. PAEEK dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to E.N. Paralimni's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tristan Ikpe (198-1999, college: SHSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international swingman Viktor Ieronymidis (200-1995, college: St.Martin's) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Glen Abram (188, college: WVSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import AJ Cheeseman (202-1998, college: UMES) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted PAEEK maintains ninth position with 1-2 record. It was E.N. Paralimni's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Achilleas K.. PAEEK will meet higher ranked AEL (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. E.N. Paralimni will play against the league's second-placed Keravnos (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
