There was a minor upset when 8th rankedAncona (2-4) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Trieste (2-4) 91-85 on Saturday. Trieste dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Ancona 's 22. It was a great shooting night for Trieste especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (179-1991) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Power forward Costanza Miccoli (184-1995) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian Sara Boric (177-2000) who recorded 27 points and guard Ludovica Albanelli (170-2002) added 23 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Ancona players scored in double figures. Trieste moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Ancona and Mantova. Ancona lost third consecutive game.
