Regular Season Round 15: Maresme - Zamarat 60-76

LF Challenge top team -Zamarat (13-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Maresme (2-11) in Barcelona 76-60 . Zamarat outrebounded Maresme 40-23 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for point guard Isabel Latorre (170-1996) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Cameroonian forward Marina Ewodo (188-1998, college: UC Riverside) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Zamarat players scored in double figures. Zamarat's coach Ricardo Vasconcelos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Laia Soler (185-2001, college: Boise St.) came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds and forward Queralt Coll (188-1994, college: Campbellsville) added 17 points respectively for Maresme in the defeat. Zamarat maintains first place with 13-2 record. Maresme lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Zamarat will play against Unicaja (#13) in Malaga in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Maresme's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona Lima-Horta.
