Not a big story in a game when 10th rankedH.Safed Galil (2-5) was rolled over on the road by second ranked M.Rehovot (5-1) 99-78 . M.Rehovot players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for guard Omer Ben David (188-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized American forward Josh Freund (204-1997, college: Roanoke) accounted for 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side. M.Rehovot's coach Ohad Cohen felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international power forward Daniel Koperberg (208-1997) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ofek Ben-Yakov (200-1994, agency: BIG) added 21 points respectively for H.Safed Galil in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. M.Rehovot have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 5-1 record behind leader E.Ashkelon.
