Very important is a road loss of third rankedPanevezio (7-4) against sixth ranked Perkunas (6-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Panevezio was defeated by Perkunas in Kaunas 92-80 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Panevezio. The game without a history. Perkunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Panevezio outrebounded Perkunas 51-36 including 23 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for swingman Kajus Gerdziunas (198-2007) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Paulius Lukasevicius (181-2006) helped adding 15 points and 7 assists. Five Perkunas players scored in double figures. Egitas Latanauskas (-2006) responded with 32 points and Dominykas Simonis (-2006) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Perkunas . They maintain sixth place with 6-5 record, which they share with Gargzdu SM. Panevezio at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with VKM and VKKM.
