Regular Season Round 8: H.Jerusalem - Ramat Hasharon 68-54

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ramat Hasharon (5-3) against fifth ranked H.Jerusalem (5-3) on Monday night. Visiting Ramat Hasharon was defeated by H.Jerusalem in Jerusalem 68-54. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ramat Hasharon. H.Jerusalem dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Ramat Hasharon's 20. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Alyssa Baron (178-1992, college: Pennsylvania) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Jennifer Fleischer (191-1984, college: Pennsylvania) who added 10 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four H.Jerusalem players scored in double figures. The former international forward Ofir Kesten-Raz (176-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Dor Saar (165-1999, college: MTSU) scored 21 points and 4 assists. H.Jerusalem moved-up to third place, which they share with Ramat Hasharon and M.Ashdod. H.Jerusalem will play against M.Haifa (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Ramat Hasharon will play against the league's leader E.Ramla (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
