U18 League round 11 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leaderTornado KM (9-1) against second ranked Zalgiris (9-1) 73-72 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Tornado KM. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Zalgiris forced 24 Tornado KM turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Tornado KM helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Martynas Kancevicius (204-2006) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). French forward Thomas Bassong (197-2006) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ukrainian guard Hryhorii Leskiv (180-2007) answered with 17 points and center Arminas Vilkas (200-2007) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tornado KM. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Zalgiris have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Tornado KM.
