Regular Season Round 14: Flammes - Tarbes 73-53

There was a small surprise in Charleville where eighth ranked Flammes (6-8) outscored their close opponent Tarbes (7-7) 73-53 on Wednesday. Flammes looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tarbes' players. Latvian-Australian power forward Lauren Scherf (196-1996) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-1989, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Serena Kessler (181-2002) responded with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Isabelle Yacoubou (190-1986) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Flammes maintains eighth position with 6-8 record. Loser Tarbes dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Charnay. Flammes will meet at home league's leader Landes in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tarbes will play against Lyon (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
