No shocking result in a game in Kaunas where second rankedPalanga (24-5) defeated 6th ranked Zalgiris II (14-16) 77-71 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Palanga made 27 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Karolis Guscikas (206-1992, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Julius Kazakauskas (196-1990) who added 7 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. Four Palanga players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Matas Vokietaitis (206-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Dovydas Buika (194-2007) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Zalgiris II's coach Vytautas Pliauga tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Palanga have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 24-5 record behind leader Stekas. Loser Zalgiris II keeps the sixth place with 16 games lost.
