Worth to mention about the upset in a game betweenAdana (12-9) and Mersin G. (8-14), which took place in Mersin. Higher ranked Adana lost to twelfth ranked Mersin G. in a road game 78-89 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Adana. Mersin G. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) notched a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) to lead the effort and Eslem Guler (180-2006) supported her with 20 points and 4 assists. Mersin G.'s coach Halil Demirbilek used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by DR Congolese power forward Chanel Mokango (188-1988, college: MSU) did not help to save the game for Adana . Ecem Kazar (-2001) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Newly promoted Mersin G. maintains twelfth position with 8-14 record. Adana at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Turgutlu.
