Very expected game when 7th rankedH.Petah Tikva (5-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked H.Jerusalem (11-3) 93-76 on Monday. H.Jerusalem looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Stasha Carey (188-1995, college: Rutgers) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. International swingman Alyssa Baron (178-1992, college: Pennsylvania) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. H.Jerusalem's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Austrian forward Sarah Sagerer (189-1996, college: Stetson) who recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the former international swingman Mariam Hannoun (178-1994, college: Eckerd) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five H.Jerusalem and four H.Petah Tikva players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for H.Jerusalem . Newly promoted H.Jerusalem maintains second place with 11-3 record having just three points less than leader E.Ramla. Loser H.Petah Tikva keeps the seventh position with nine games lost.
