An interesting game forMaccabi Tel-Aviv (11-3) which played road game in Ramat Gan against 3rd placed Ramat Gan (10-6). Second ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv had an easy win 88-71 . M.Tel-Aviv outrebounded M.Ramat Gan 48-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. M.Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when M.Tel-Aviv made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Jake Cohen (208-1990, college: Davidson) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. American-Spanish point guard Lorenzo Brown (196-1990, college: NC State) accounted for 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Maccabi Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Maccabi Tel-Aviv's coach Oded Kattash used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Kendale McCullum (184-1996, college: Lewis) came up with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import forward Isaiah Miles (203-1994, college: St.Joseph's) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for M.Ramat Gan in the defeat. Maccabi Tel-Aviv have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-3 record behind leader H.Tel-Aviv. Newly promoted M.Ramat Gan keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Bnei Hertzeliya. M.Tel-Aviv will meet H.Eilat (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. M.Ramat Gan will play against H.Be'er Sheva (#13) and hope to secure a win.
