Very expected game when 11th rankedE.N. Paralimni (2-16) was smashed by fourth ranked Apoel (13-5) in Nicosia 111-38 on Saturday. The game without a history. Apoel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding E.N. Paralimni to just 6 points in third quarter. Apoel dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to E.N. Paralimni 's 18. They outrebounded E.N. Paralimni 44-20 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Apoel shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by E.N. Paralimni 's players. The winners were led by naturalized Australian guard Reed Nottage (198, college: CBU) who scored that evening 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Simos Solomou (195-1996) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Apoel players scored in double figures. Apoel's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 7 points and 6 assists by guard Vassilis Charalambous (186-2000) did not help to save the game for E.N. Paralimni . Swingman Antreas Papageorgiou (187-1999) added 6 points for the guests.
