Forward Gala Mestres (185-1994, college: Mount Royal) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and Czech guard Julie Pospisilova (183-1999, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Ferrol's coach Lino Lopez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Iris Mbulito (183-1999, college: LIU Brooklyn) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Cameroonian forward Dulcy Mendjiadeu (193-1999, college: S.Florida) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds.
