Regular Season Round 3: Angers - Villeneuve 81-77

Angers (3-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat Villeneuve (0-3) 81-77. Angers outrebounded Villeneuve 41-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a quality performance for American guard Ameryst Alston (175-1993, college: Ohio St.) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 4 assists. Her fellow American import forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) accounted for 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Angers' coach Aurelie Bonnan used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Carla Leite (175-2004) came up with 26 points and 5 assists and American center Kelsey Bone (193-1991, college: Texas A&M) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Villeneuve in the defeat. Angers will meet BLMA in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Villeneuve will play against Charleville-M. (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
