Regular Season Round 5: Fraport SKY - Goettingen 61-64

Gottingen used a strong second half to take a tight 64-61 road win over Deutsche Bank Skyliners Saturday night at BallSporthalle in Frankfurt. Cliff Brown posted a 22pt 10reb double double and Kyle Bailey added 10pt 9reb in the win for Head Coach John Patrick's team. Skyliners built a 19-13 lead after 1Q which they developed into a 39-28 advantage at half. Gottingen turned the game in the third with an 18-10 quarter pulling within 49-46 heading to the 4th. An 18-12 4Q sealed the comeback win for Gottingen who shot 33% from the floor and outrebounded Frankfurt 47-40. Frankfurt was without big man Lorenzo Gordon who left the game due to what is believed to be a shoulder injury. Skyliners shot 35% from the floor and made 15 of 20 FT (75%). Ilian Evtimov led the Skyliners with 16pt while Keith Simmons added 15pt 6reb 7ast and Konrad Wysocki grabbed 11 rebounds. Gottingen upped their record to 3-2 while Frankfurt fell to 2-3.
