In the ZBC-hal, strong defensive and heady play made all the difference for Landstede Basketball, with Landstede steamrolling over Eiffel Towers 71-62. Landstede forced Eiffel into 38.2% FG and only 6 of 22 from the three-point line, including shutting down top scoring threats Jerome Beasley, Devonne Giles and Kees Akerboom, who all failed to reach double figures in scoring. Landstede forced an Eiffel meltdown in the 2nd quarter, in which Eiffel scored only 5 pts! Landstede led 34-21 at halftime and did not relinquish its grip on the game. Gerad Punch played big for Landstede, with a double-double of 19 pts. and 11 rebounds. David Jackson was the only Eiffel player to reach double figures. Landstede moves now to 5-7, while Eiffel finished off a bad week and falls to 8-4.
