Regular Season Round 5: Zalgiris - FCB Regal 60-75

As it was expected, Regal Barcelona cruised past Lithuanian champion Zalgiris on the road jumping on 4-1 score in Group B. At the same time it is the fifth consecutive defeat for Zalgiris. Actually, Zalgiris and French Le Mans are the only winless teams in Euroleague after 5 rounds. Slovenian point guard Jaka Lakovic shined for Barca in this game pouring in 22 points for 27 minutes. He was unmistakable from beyond the arc making 5/5. Juan Carlos Navarro helped the winners with 14 points and 5 assists, while Daniel Santiago and David Andersen stopped on 11 points apiece. Santiago registered double-double as he had 11 more rebounds beside that. Loren Woods responded for the hosts collecting 18 points and 8 rebounds. Zalgiris also got 17 points from Paulius Jankunas and 12 by Jonas Maciulis.
