Sunday evening in the Maaspoort in a marquee matchup between last season's FEB finalists, with Eiffel Towers needing desperately a win, broke away from the pack and with a strong start in the 4th quarter, once again toppled the defending FEB champions Eclipse Jet/MyGuide by the score of 83-79. A 10-0 run at the beginning of the 4th quarter courtesy of three-pointers by Taron Downey, Kees Akerboom and Jos Frederiks and a free throw gave Eiffel the momentum advantage which it would not relinquish. Eiffel had five players in double figures, were led in scoring by Anthony Richardson with 14 pts. Eclipse Jet/MyGuide ace Teddy Gipson led all scorers with 29 pts. Eiffel remains in 2nd place, improving to 10-5, while Eclipse Jet/MyGuide falls to 11-2. (by Sanders Jackson)
