In the Martiniplaza, Hanzevast Capitals had their hands full vs. a Landstede Basketball team that were riding a three-game winning streak, needing overtime to win, winning 91-85. With 1:30 remaining Hanzevast caught a break when Landstede leading scorer Robby Bostain fouled out. From then on Hanzevast had the upper hand. Hanzevast's Ransford Brempong flexed his muscles inside for Hanzevast, leading with a double-double of 22 pts. (9 of 10 FG) and 10 rebounds. Torey Thomas was no slouch either, also adding a double-double of 20 pts. and 10 rebounds. In all, Hanzevast had six players in double figures. Landstede, which shot a poor 30.4% FG, made up for it with 14 of 27 shooting from the three-point line, were led by Gerad Punch with 24 pts., including 5 threes. Bostain added good all-around numbers of 21 pts., 13 assists, 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Landstede also forced 21 Hanzevast turnovers and had 24 assists. Hanzevast ended a two-game skid to remain in the hunt for the second place spot in the FEB standings with a 16-10 record, a half-game behind Eiffel Towers. (by Sanders Jackson)
