Regular Season Round 38: Den Bosch - Rotterdam 104-86
Date: March 26, 2009
In the Maaspoort in the Eiffel Towers-Rotterdam Challengers, Eiffel let Rotterdam Challengers know that in the FEB, there is a big difference between a contender and a pretender, taking control of the game tempo early and cruising to an 104-86 win. Eiffel led at one point 37-21 before the Rotterdammers made a big run, cutting to lead to 49-43 in the 3rd quarter after an Eiffel head coach Don Beck technical foul and two free throws by Ties Theeuwkens (190-G-85, agency: Court Side). That apparently was the shot in the arm Eiffel needed to pull away from the Rotterdammers, going then in a two minute span on a 9-0 run to help Eiffel stake a 58-43 lead, with Eiffel leading 71-58 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Eiffel had five players in double digits, led by David Jackson (195-G-78, agency: Edge Sports, college: Oregon) with 24 pts., Kees Akerboom (200-F-83, agency: Court Side) added 23 including 6 three-pointers. Bobby Walker (188-G-84, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Va Commonwealth) led all scorers with 27 pts. (by Sanders Jackson)
