Regular Season Round 116: Rio Grande VV - Austin T. 105-106

in tied its franchise record for wins in a season as the Toros (30-18) held on to defeat the visiting Rio Grande Valley Vipers 106-105 last night in Austin. Former Golden State Warriors guard DeMarcus Nelson led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds for Austin. Nelson hit 1-of-2 free throws with 14.9 left to play in the fourth quarter to put the Toros up 106-105. The Toros led by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter and held off the Vipers late charge to improve to 30-18 on the season. Playing without D-League March Player of the Month Jawad Williams (called-up by Cleveland Cavaliers), the Vipers were led by Trent Strickland's team-high 22 points. (Surujh Roopnarine)
