In the Maaspoort, 2009 Dutch Cup champion started on their quest for a return to the FEB finals with a 79-70 win over southern rivals Upstairs Weert. Eiffel held a comfortable margin heading into the start of the 4th quarter (65-46), but the Limburgers managed to make a 16-6 run with 4 minutes remaining to cut Eiffel's lead to 71-62 before Eiffel put out the fire with an 8-2 run of its own to keep Upstairs at arm's length. Eiffel sharpshooterKees Akerboom led Eiffel with 20 pts., including 6 of 8 from the three-point line. Omni Smith led the Limburgers with 16 pts.
