In Leiden, #1 seeded Eclipse Jet/MyGuide had their hands full with upset minded ZZ Leiden throughout the first three quarters, but in the deciding 4th quarter the team of Arik Shivek put the clamps on ZZ, plus with two-time FEB MVP Peter Van Paassen doing damage inside, with Eclipse Jet/MG ending ZZ's season with a 67-63 win. Eclipse Jet/MG forced ZZ into a 4th quarter scoring drought, allowing only 5 total pts., and with shooting numbers of only 40.5% FG. The lack of good perimeter shooting balanced with their inside attack did ZZ in. Eclipse Jet/MG had no such problem, as van Paassen managed to get the ball into his sweet spots, shooting 10 of 13 from the field en route to scoring a game-high 26 pts. and snatching down 13 rebounds. Eclipse Jet/MG shot 60.7% from the field. Seamus Boxley led ZZ with 18 pts. Eclipse Jet/MG will await the winner of the West-Brabant Giants-Matrixx Magixx series. (by Sanders Jackson)
